Patch 0.2.19
This build is more functional than anything. I have enhanced enemy and ally AI. Now, some enemies and all allies can jump and follow the player across platforms and other obstacles.
Most flying NPCs are no longer restricted by walls or floors, allowing them to chase the player easily.
Most enemies now have the abity to evasively leap backwards or simply run away if they are getting their asses kicked.
All allies will now crouch and crawl when following the player through tight spaces.
Using a shield to block projectiles now has a chance to reflect them back at their owner.
Also fixed the bug preventing shields from working properly
Fixed thrown axes flight paths
Fixed a bug preventing some crafting recipes from working
Made some updates to ally missions and the mission UI.
Fixed a bug preventing the selected rune from being enabled on game load.
Here is what is new
New icons added for all items. These are much more attractive and easy to distinguish when viewing your inventory/equipment
The all new overpower/combo system! Now you will generate "combo points" each time you fill the overpower meter (haven't worked out names for all of this yet). You can hold up to 6 points and they do not expire on their own. Hitting the overpower button (F) will attempt to spend points in one of a few ways.
If you have 2 or more points, and an enemy is within grabbing distance, Korvald will perform his choke-slam. This is an instant kill on grabbable enemies.
If you only have one point, Korvald will grab and throw the enemy for good damage. This only costs 1 point.
If an enemy is just outside of your reach, Korvald will burn 1 point to have Qhroth'un swipe attack in front of him.
If you have all six points available, and continue to attack enough to fill the overpower meter a seventh time, then Korvald overloads and the void rift inside of him opens for 10 seconds.
During this time, normal attacks will consume combo points. For each point consumed during overload, the rift will release a flying void creature that will immediately and quickly begin attacking anything it sees.
These creatures last for 30 seconds before vanishing.
Moving on
Finally, I have added many new effects to things like gold coin pickups. I have revised several rune effects visually. I have also redesigned the rune casting bar.
There are also treasure chests that you can find randomly that award good gear and hefty gold.
That about sums it up I think...
